French leader Emmanuel Macron holds a joint press conference with newly-elected Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Beirut on Friday, January 17.
It marks the first visit by a head of state since the Lebanese Parliament elected Aoun president last week.
The two leaders are scheduled to discuss potential co-operation and French support for the country.
Macron's most recent visit to Lebanon was in 2020, following an explosion at Beirut's port which claimed the lives of over 218 people.
