Live from Moroccan capital Rabat as the full moon, known as the ‘Strawberry Moon’, lights up the skies of the North African city on Wednesday, June 11.
The name, rooted in the traditions of northeastern Native American tribes, refers to the brief strawberry harvest that coincides with this lunar phase.
The moon may also look slightly red near the horizon due to atmospheric filtering. As it coincides with the summer solstice, it is expected to sit lower and appear larger in the sky at the start and end of the illumination.
