A major demonstration against the Milei administration's land deregulation decree takes place in Buenos Aires on Thursday, October 15, with unions, university students, social movements, and disability rights organisations gathering outside the National Congress.

Protesters are demanding the repeal of the sweeping emergency decree, known as DNU 70/23 - which ripped up limits on foreign land ownership - as well as greater funding for public universities and stronger social protections.

The protest goes ahead despite a recent Supreme Court ruling temporarily reinstating the limits on foreign ownership, subject to another legal review.
