UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham meets US President Donald Trump for their first head-to-head on Tuesday, September 22, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting marks Burnham’s first face-to-face talks with Trump since becoming prime minister in July. The two leaders have already spoken by phone.

On Ukraine, Burnham has handed over blueprints for British Storm Shadow long-range missiles, while Trump refused to do the same for US Patriots - suggesting they could be used against his country in the future.

Trump also said last week that a united Ireland would be a 'great thing'. Northern Ireland remains in the UK, while Burnham said an immediate border poll on unification was 'off the table'.
