'Koresh', a traditional type of national wrestling takes place at the VI World Nomad Games in Cholpon Ata on Sutarday, September 5.

Koresh is a traditional Tatar belt wrestling style with roots going back to ancient times. Matches are held in a standing position: wrestlers hold special belts and try to throw their opponent onto their back using strength, agility, and technique.

Among the participating countries are Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and others.

The World Nomad Games is an international platform that brings together different cultures, traditions, values and sporting disciplines. They were first held in 2014.

The iconic, international cultural and sports event dedicated to nomadic peoples is held from August 31 to September 6.
