
Leaders and senior representatives of ASEAN member states arrive in Kazan on Tuesday, June 16, ahead of the Russia–ASEAN Summit.
The summit is being held to mark the 35th anniversary of relations between Russia and ASEAN. Official welcome ceremonies are expected as part of the leaders’ arrivals programme.
The Russia–ASEAN Summit takes place in Kazan on June 17–18, focused on trade, investment, transport connectivity, energy co-operation and regional security.
Representatives of ASEAN member states from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Timor-Leste are expected to take part in the summit.
