    The session, titled 'Advancing Political Solutions in the Middle East: Mediation and Dialogue for Lasting Peace', is part of Colombia’s month-long presidency of the Security Council, marking the country’s second time in the role since March 2013.

    The debate aims to explore concrete ways to strengthen mediation efforts, draw lessons from past experiences, and promote more coherent, inclusive, and effective approaches in line with Security Council mandates and the UN Charter.
