    Russian President Vladimir Putin takes part in and addresses the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) alongside Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Friday, June 5.

    Putin is expected to deliver the keynote address of the forum, followed by remarks from the foreign leaders and a discussion on global economic trends and international co-operation.

    Held annually since 1997, SPIEF has become one of the world’s leading platforms for discussing global economic development, investment and business cooperation.

    The 29th edition of the forum takes place in St Petersburg on June 3-6.
