US President Donald Trump’s newly formed Board of Peace convenes for its first meeting in Washington DC on Thursday, February 19.
Trump is expected to announce that the board has pledged more than $5bn towards humanitarian and rebuilding initiatives.
There are over 20 members in total, many from the Global South, with numerous European nations turning Trump's invitation down.
The Board of Peace was initially established to oversee implementation of the Gaza ceasefire, although Trump himself has said it could go 'far beyond Gaza' into other conflict resolution.
