    Pope Leo XIV arrives in Beirut on Sunday, November 30, continuing his first foreign trip since becoming pontiff.

    During his visit, he is expected to meet with Lebanese government officials and religious leaders, and is scheduled to focus on the themes of peace, coexistence, and support for the country’s ongoing recovery efforts.

    The Pope will also pray at the site of the 2020 chemical explosion at the Port of Beirut, paying tribute to the victims of one of the country’s most devastating tragedies.

    The visit follows his three-day stay in Turkey, where he visited the Blue Mosque and celebrated Mass at Istanbul’s Volkswagen Arena.
