The high-level General Debate for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 80) continues into its fifth day in New York City on Saturday, September 27.
Leaders from 193 member states will gather for the annual meeting, entitled 'Better Together', which aims to address key global challenges.
Among those expected to speak during the morning session are the leaders of India, Egypt, Belarus, Russia and Germany.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will represent the country at the UN General Assembly. President Vladimir Putin last addressed the UNGA in 2020 via a pre-recorded video message.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also not attend the General Debate. India will instead be represented by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
The afternoon will feature addresses from representatives of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and other Member States.
