Hundreds of people attended a rally led by US Vice President Kamala Harris in Philadelphia on Tuesday hours after the Democratic Party's candidate for the country's presidential election picked her vice presidential running mate.
Footage shows the event attendees standing in line ahead of the event, buying merchandise, and entering the rally's venue.
"Kamala will change this world. We are saved. Donald Trump, goodbye," said one of the attendees.
"For the first time, I feel that there is actually hope for the future of this country, and I love to see that the young generations, like Gen Z, come out and just rally around her. So, I'm super excited," said another Harris supporter.
Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her vice presidential running mate. Walz is in his second term as the state governor and chairs the Democratic Governors Association.
Following the nomination, former US president and Republican nominee Donald Trump shared a fundraising email saying that Walz would be the 'worst VP in history' and would 'unleash hell on Earth' as well as open borders for 'the worst criminals imaginable.'
