Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced on Monday evening that its fighters had targeted "Israeli enemy soldiers in the orchards opposite the towns of Odaisseh and Kafr Kila with appropriate weapons, achieving confirmed casualties."
Israel's ground offensive came following a week of airstrikes on southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported over 1,100 deaths and over 6,300 injuries in total. Hezbollah has launched hundreds of rocket attacks on northern Israel.
