Presidential aide and head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky speaks to the press ahead of the Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul on Thursday, May 15.
Medinsky also led the Russian negotiating team in 2022.
Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed resuming direct talks with Ukraine without preconditions. Volodymyr Zelensky initially demanded a ceasefire before any negotiations, while Donald Trump urged him to accept the offer of talks.
