April's Full Pink Moon rises over Berlin

Live from Berlin as April's Full Moon, also known as the 'Pink Moon', appears on Saturday, April 12.

It will be a micro-moon, appearing smaller and dimmer than normal, and will reach peak illumination on April 13, at 00:22 GMT.

Despite its name, the moon will not appear pink in colour but is so-called due to the pink wildflower (Phlox subulata) that blooms during the month.
