Russian President Vladimir Putin participates in the plenary session opening the 4th Eurasian Women's Forum (EAWF) in St Petersburg on Wednesday, September, 18.
Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Her Royal Highness, Princess Maha bint Mishari Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Ugandan Vice-President Jessica Rose Epel Aleppo are all expected to take part in the opening ceremony.
The plenary session is entitled 'Women for Strengthening Trust and Global Co-operation'.
The Eurasian Women’s Forum is a major international platform uniting women leaders from all continents to engage in dialogue and adopt joint decisions on key issues.
This year's event is held over three days, from September 18-20.
