Fireworks light up the skies of St Petersburg on Sunday, July 28, in celebration of Russian Navy Day.
The traditional venue for the fireworks is the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress. Residents and tourists in Russia's 'northern capital' will be able to see the traditional 30 volleys from heavy artillery, as well as several thousand fireworks.
