Russian President Vladimir Putin hosts Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and other leaders in Moscow on Tuesday, October 27, for the 8th Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit.
The meeting brings together heads of state and senior officials from some of the world's biggest gas-producing countries, with global supply, market stability and closer co-operation between exporters high on the agenda.
The GECF's 12 members include Russia, Iran, Qatar, the UAE, Algeria, Nigeria and Venezuela. Together, they hold around 70 per cent of the world's proven natural gas reserves.
The October 27 summit also marks 25 years of co-operation within the forum.
