SpaceX launches 27 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit on Sunday, September 6, from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California in its Starlink Group 15-24 mission.
Once launched, the satellites will be deployed into low-Earth orbit, adding further capacity to Starlink’s growing global broadband network.
The Falcon 9’s first stage is also expected to attempt another recovery after launch. Current mission information lists the autonomous droneship 'Of Course I Still Love You' as the landing platform in the Pacific Ocean.
The launch continues SpaceX’s rapid pace of Falcon 9 missions and the company’s ongoing expansion of the Starlink constellation.
