Iván Cepeda gives a media approach on Tuesday, June 30, following his defeat in Colombia's presidential run-off.

Cepeda, who had initially said he would wait for the final official count, said he was conceding after the razor-thin loss to businessman Abelardo de la Espriella, 'as an act of democratic responsibility' to promote peace, dialogue and national unity.

He also condemned what he described as 'undue foreign interference', criticising US President Donald Trump for endorsing de la Espriella and publicly attacking his candidacy during the election campaign.
