Live from Belgrade on Saturday, May 23 as students and civil rights groups take to the streets for the latest in a series of anti-government protests.
The rallies were sparked by the deadly collapse of a train station canopy in Novi Sad in 2024, which triggered outrage over alleged corruption. The movement expanded into broader anti-government demonstrations calling for elections.
On Thursday, President Vucic announced that parliamentary elections would be held between late September and mid-November. He has also accused foreign powers of using the demonstrations for their own purposes.
