Live from Tenerife as 'rat virus' cruise ship anchors at Granadilla port

Live from Granadilla de Abona Harbour in Tenerife as the rat virus-hit cruise ship MV Hondius is set to evacuate its passengers on Sunday, May 10.

Spanish authorities have claimed the vessel will drop anchor at the Canary Islands and allow passengers off, despite a row with the local government.

Three people have died from the 'hantavirus', with the WHO confirming five cases and three more suspected cases. Authorities are racing to trace dozens of people who reportedly left the ship at earlier stops.
