Donald Trump said the new deal would depend on the "complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz". Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran would allow 'safe passage' through the Strait during the ceasefire "via co-ordination with Iran's Armed Forces".
Peace talks are expected in Islamabad on Friday.
