Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov takes part in the annual informational meeting of the heads of the Russia–Islamic World Group with the ambassadors of the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Co-operation) countries in Moscow on Monday, April 6.
The meeting is also attended by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
The IOC comprises 57 countries across four continents, while the Russia-Islamic World Group is a body formed in 2006 to strengthen co-operation between Russia and Islamic countries.
