The CELAC–Africa High-Level Forum opens in Bogota on Wednesday, March 18, bringing together leaders from Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa for a four-day meeting running until March 21.
The forum focuses on strengthening South–South co-operation between the 33-member CELAC bloc and African partners, with discussions on education, science, technology, trade and sustainable development.
Led by Colombia’s Vice President Francia Marquez, the meeting aims to deepen political and economic ties and promote a more balanced approach to global co-operation.
Talks are also set to address shared challenges such as climate change, poverty and inequality, while exploring ways to establish a more structured and lasting partnership between the two regions.
