Protesters march outside Congress in Buenos Aires on Friday, February 27, as the Senate prepares to debate the government’s revised labour reforms.

The demonstration was organised by unions and social organisations, including the Unión de Trabajadores de la Economía Popular and the Asociación de Trabajadores del Estado, which claim the changes would weaken workers' rights.

Authorities have announced a large security operation around the legislative area following clashes at previous demonstrations.

The Senate could approve the bill on Friday, allowing it to become law before the start of ordinary sessions next month. The government argues the changes are needed to turbocharge the economy.
