The 48th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council (Ministers of Foreign Affairs) takes place on February 11–12 at the Mandela Conference Hall in Addis Ababa.
The session will include a review of the 51st Permanent Representatives’ Committee (PRC) report, discussions on advancing African Union institutional reforms to enhance efficiency, and consideration of the modalities for the AU’s participation in the G20 as a permanent member.
The Council is one of the African Union’s principal policy organs, composed of Ministers of Foreign Affairs or other designated Ministers of AU Member States.
