US President Donald Trump takes part in the announcement of his 'Board of Peace' charter at the World Economic Forum in Davos, on Thursday, January 22.
The initiative, first proposed in September, was unveiled by the White House as a new international body to tackle global conflicts, including the situation in Gaza.
Around 35 countries have accepted invitations to join, including the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Argentina, Hungary and Belarus. Russia said it was clarifying details with the US side, while European nations like France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Slovenia turned Trump down.
Trump is set to chair the board, with an executive board including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former UK prime minister Tony Blair and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
