Football fans arrive at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal, on Sunday, January 18.
It marks the 35th edition of the competition organised by the Confederation of African Football. The tournament was first held in 1957 and remains the continent’s premier football tournament.
The stadium has a capacity of around 69,500 and serves as the home ground of Morocco’s national team.
Egypt is the most successful nation in the competition’s history with seven titles, followed by Cameroon and Ghana. Ivory Coast was the defending champion after winning the 2023 edition, but lost in the quarter-final this year.
