The World Economic Forum (WEF) holds its annual meeting in Davos from January 19-23, bringing together global leaders from across a huge number of countries and sectors.
Key figures from government, business, civil society and academia convene for discussions on key global issues. The programme is structured around five major global challenges - co-operation, growth, investment, innovation, and prosperity.
Founded in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation, the World Economic Forum has evolved into a global platform for co-operation.
