
World leaders arrive ahead of the International Forum of Peace and Trust, in Ashgabat on December 11.
The event, on December 12, is dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's declaration of permanent neutrality.
It brings together heads of state and leaders of major international organisations. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have confirmed their participation.
The main topics of the forum include discussions on strengthening global peace, trust and multilateral co-operation. The participants will focus on topics related to the role of neutrality in modern international politics, as well as sustainable foreign policy in the region.
As part of the programme, a series of high-level bilateral meetings and negotiations are planned on the sidelines of the forum.
