Venezuelans mark the 166th anniversary of the Battle of Santa Ines with a rally - and a protest against the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Maria Corina Machado - in Caracas on Wednesday, December 10.

Machado is set to receive the Peace Prize in Oslo on the same day. While Western nations backed the award, Venezuela and countries across the Global South condemned it, claiming she was attempting to incite US military action and regime change by force in the South American country
