    OSCE Ministerial Council concludes in Vienna: closing plenary, press conference

    The 32nd Ministerial Council meeting of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) concludes at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, on Friday, December 5.

    Foreign Ministers from the 57 participating states and eleven partners attend the two-day meeting, hosted by Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in her role as chair.

    The OSCE is the world’s largest security oriented intergovernmental body, working on arms control, human rights, media freedom, early warning conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation.

    Formed during the Cold War as a forum for dialogue, it includes members from Europe, North America and Asia.
