The European Space Agency launches the fourth satellite from its Copernicus Sentinel-1 mission, aboard an Ariane 6 rocket from Kourou, French Guiana on Tuesday, November 4.

Part of the EU’s Copernicus Earth observation programme, Sentinel-1 uses advanced radar technology to map Earth’s surface day and night, in all weather conditions — providing vital data for environmental monitoring, disaster response, and climate research.
