    The 47th ASEAN Summit kicks off at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on Sunday, October 26 (GMT 23:55, October 25).

    Among the world leaders and representatives expected to attend are US President Donald Trump, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, European Council President António Costa, and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

    A high representative from Timor-Leste will also take part, as the country is expected to formally join the bloc as its 11th member.

    The 47th ASEAN Summit and related meetings will be held in Kuala Lumpur from October 26-28.
