Live from outside the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul on Wednesday, October 8, as demonstrators gather to condemn Israel’s latest interceptions of vessels with the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC).

The FFC says the Israeli military intercepted its convoy of boats bound for Gaza, targeting 'The Conscience', a vessel carrying 93 journalists, doctors and activists before seizing three smaller boats on Wednesday.

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that its citizens and lawmakers were among those aboard, calling Israel’s actions 'a grave violation of international law' and 'an act of piracy'.

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that its forces had carried out the raid has accused vessels of attempting to violate a lawful blockade.
