Organisers say the government's plan to take Gaza City puts around 20 hostages at risk. Families are set to lead the calls for action as the war, which began on October 7, 2023, nears its two-year mark.
A nationwide strike last Sunday closed roads, offices and universities, with thousands taking part in what was described as the largest rally since the conflict began. Nearly 40 people were arrested during clashes with police outside Likud party headquarters in Tel Aviv.
