The New Development Bank (NDB) holds the opening ceremony for its 10th annual Board of Governors meeting in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, July 4.
The event brings together senior officials from BRICS countries and other key economies, marking a decade since the bank’s founding in Brazil during the 2014 BRICS Summit.
Held under the theme 'Driving Development: Fostering Innovation, Co-operation, and Impact through a Multilateral Development Bank for the Global South', the ceremony highlights the NDB’s expanding role in financing sustainable, inclusive development and co-operation across the Global South.
The meeting comes ahead of the 2025 BRICS Summit, set to take place in Rio de Janeiro from July 6-7.
