NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Dutch PM Dick Schoof hold a joint press conference in The Hague on Wednesday, June 25, marking the conclusion of the 2025 NATO Summit.
The two-day gathering came amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, following US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. The US push to increase NATO defence spending to five percent GDP, as well as the Russia-Ukraine talks and conflict, were also on the agenda.
Schoof took part in the summit in his role as caretaker PM, following the collapse of his government.
Some 8,500 participants attended the summit, marking the first hosted by the Netherlands and the first under Rutte’s leadership.
