The 'New Peace Movement' is set to hold a protest in The Hague on Sunday, June 22, in opposition to the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for 24–25 June in the Dutch city.
The coalition, comprising several Dutch organisations, including the Revolutionary Socialist Party, ROOD, BIJ1, and Stop Wapenhandel, has criticised the alliance for promoting what it calls military escalation and a surge in defence spending.
Demonstrators are expected to assemble at Koekamp, near The Hague Central Station, before marching to the Peace Palace.
According to the organisers, NATO's policies serve the interests of Western elites, while vital public funds are being diverted from healthcare, education, and climate action.
