The Iranian strikes, which hit central Israel late Friday into early Saturday, reportedly killed at least three people and injured dozens others.
The attack came after the IDF launched a series of strikes against Iran early on Friday morning, targeting 'nuclear facilities' and high-ranking officials within the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and military.
Tehran confirmed that the attack had killed several senior commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel had 'started a war' and 'must expect a severe punishment.'
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the attack as "one of the greatest military operations in [Israel's] history," and vowed that the military campaign would continue 'as long as necessary.'
