NATO defence ministers gather in Brussels on Thursday, June 5, to discuss national plans for increasing the procurement of weapons and military equipment, and co-ordinate new proposals for ‘acquiring the weapons necessary to implement the alliance's defence strategies’.
The defence ministers will issue a series of documents to be presented at the NATO summit in The Hague on June 24-25 where allies are expected to agree on a defence spending target of 5 percent and discuss EU’s next sanctions on Russia.
