Outlets quoted a military source as claiming the strike came at 2:05am "from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan", with three reported killed and nine injured.
The Syrian General Authority for Radio and Television reported that journalist Safaa Ahmed had been killed.
The Israeli military has not commented but has previously strongly denied targeting journalists or civilians.
