Pope Leo XIV holds Mass at Istanbul’s Volkswagen Arena on Saturday, November 29, as part of his ongoing visit to Turkey and Lebanon.
The Mass is expected to draw thousands of faithful from across the region, marking one of the most significant Catholic gatherings in the country in recent years.
Pope Leo arrived in Turkey on Thursday, on the first foreign trip of his papacy.
Following his time in Istanbul, the Pope will travel to Lebanon where he is scheduled to meet with government officials and offer prayers at the site of the 2020 chemical explosion at the Port of Beirut.
His predecessor, Pope Francis, had also hoped to visit both countries, though those plans were postponed due to health concerns.
